Text Box: Artists Statement
Every one has a defining moment in our lives which seems to lead us to the discovery of who we are. This moment, I remember it clearly. Out of an act of frustration and desperation, I proceeded to throw out my portfolio, brushes and paints in a dumpster. At the time, an overwhelming feeling of panic set in “What have I done?” A great personal revelation came to me that not only were my tools of creation amongst everyday trash but my soul as well. Never would I forget that my art was such a defining component in my identity. My need to paint is necessary to my existence as someone else’s need to eat.
I work with mediums and textures that I have never experienced before. Everyday, self-discovery leads me to gain wisdom and express what the world looks like through my eyes. Objects and materials are speaking to me “Show the world the grace you see.”

   About Me

Text Box: Biography

Born in St. Stephen and raised in Petitcodiac, Pamela Carr became interested in art at a young age. Growing up in a small town where there were few avenues for a budding artist. She often was subjected to ridicule and estrangement from her peers; Carr had little choice but to teach herself. Art, always a part of who she was became more difficult to pursue after graduating high school. Often sought out by individuals and businesses, Carr has sold over100 pieces enabling her to pursue her artistic endeavours full time. Carr is working hard to promote her work participating in auctions, charity events and taking on commissions, determined to survive in the artistic field. After years of perfecting her craft, she has finally found her voice. An observant person who enjoys looking beyond the mundane of everyday objects, she often finds herself lost in the calm that comes over her when she paints.
